Cloud and DevOps Engineer

Fully remote within the UAE. You will build and run cloud infrastructure for client platforms, some of which carry regulated workloads and data residency obligations. The role covers both the build side, where you define infrastructure as code and delivery pipelines, and the run side, where you are on the rotation when something breaks at two in the morning.

What you will do

  • Design and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud using infrastructure as code.
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that make deployment boring.
  • Implement observability that surfaces a problem before a customer reports it, covering metrics, logging, tracing and alerting that people actually act on.
  • Manage container orchestration.
  • Harden environments against the security baseline and support audit and compliance evidence gathering.
  • Participate in the on call rotation and write the incident review afterwards.
  • Advise client teams on cost optimisation, because cloud bills grow quietly.

What you bring

  • At least three years in DevOps, SRE or cloud engineering.
  • Terraform or an equivalent IaC tool used in anger.
  • Kubernetes in production, not just in a tutorial.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting in Python or Bash.
  • Genuine understanding of networking and of cloud security models.
  • English at C1.
  • The temperament to stay calm during an incident and honest during the review.

Nice to have

  • A relevant cloud certification at professional or associate level.
  • Experience with UAE or GCC data residency requirements.
  • Service mesh, GitOps or policy as code.
  • Experience supporting financial services workloads.
