What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so it can be read back later. Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels and software development kits, do a similar job. They let a site remember your choices, keep a session working, and, where you allow it, measure how the site is used. Some are set by us and some are set by a third party whose service we use. Some last only for your visit and are deleted when you close your browser. Others stay for a set period so they can recognise a return visit.

The categories we use

We group cookies and similar technologies into three categories.

• Strictly necessary. These make the site work and keep it secure. They remember your language, hold your session, help balance load, and record your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every visit. They also support the bot-protection check on our forms. We set these without asking because the site cannot function without them, and they do not track you for marketing.
• Analytics. These help us understand how the site is used, which pages are visited, and where we can improve. They are optional, and they load only after you consent. If you do not consent, we do not run them.
• Marketing. These would support measuring and tailoring our campaigns and any advertising. They are optional, and they load only after you consent. If you do not consent, we do not run them.

Non-essential scripts load only after you consent

We do not load analytics or marketing scripts until you agree to them. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which we may use to understand how the site performs and how visitors move through it, stay switched off until you accept the analytics category in our consent banner. If you decline, or you ignore the banner, these scripts do not run and they set no cookies. This is a deliberate design choice, so that consent is meaningful and not assumed.

The consent banner and changing your choice

When you first visit corpshore.ae, a consent banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. You can accept all, reject the optional categories, or choose which categories to allow. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site needs them. We record your choice so we can honour it and so we do not ask on every page.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Reopen the cookie settings from the link in the site, and update your selection. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant scripts from running going forward. You can also clear the stored consent by deleting the site's cookies and local storage in your browser, after which the banner appears again on your next visit. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything already collected while your consent was in place.

Third-party services

Some features rely on a third party, and that third party may set its own cookies or process data when the feature runs.

• Cloudflare Turnstile provides the bot-protection check on our forms. It is strictly necessary, because it tells a genuine visitor from an automated one and protects the site from abuse. It is designed to be privacy-friendly and it does not track you across sites for advertising.
• Calendly powers the booking feature where you schedule a meeting with us. If you open the scheduler, Calendly may set cookies needed to run the booking. It processes the details you enter to arrange the meeting.
• Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity provide analytics, and they run only after you consent to the analytics category. They help us see how the site is used and where to improve it.

Each third party handles the data it processes under its own privacy terms. Our privacy policy explains how any data we receive through these services is used and protected.

How long cookies last

Lifespans vary by purpose. Session cookies last only for your visit and are removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period so they can recognise a return visit or remember a choice. As a general guide, the cookie that records your consent choice is kept so we do not ask again on every visit, session and security cookies are short-lived, and analytics cookies, where you allow them, are kept for a limited measurement window. You can always end a cookie early by clearing it in your browser.

Why we ask before setting optional cookies

Under the UAE PDPL, and under the GDPR where it applies to you, an optional cookie that processes personal data needs a lawful basis, and for analytics and marketing we treat that basis as your consent. A strictly necessary cookie does not need consent, because the site cannot provide the service you asked for without it, and our basis for it is our legitimate interest in running a secure and working website. This is why the banner separates the categories, and why we never treat silence or a pre-ticked box as agreement.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Beyond our consent banner, your browser gives you control over cookies. You can set your browser to block or delete cookies, to warn you before one is set, or to remove cookies when you close it. Each browser handles this differently, and the settings are usually found in the privacy or security section of the browser's options. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of this site, and other sites, from working as intended, because some cookies are needed for basic function. You can also use your device or browser privacy controls, such as a do-not-track or global privacy signal, and we honour a recognised signal where we are able to.

Every major browser explains how to manage cookies in its own help pages. In Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and other browsers, you will find the controls in the privacy or security settings, where you can view stored cookies, delete them, block new ones, or set the browser to clear them when you close it. On a phone or a tablet, the same controls sit in the browser app's settings. If you use more than one device or browser, remember that a choice you make in one does not carry across to the others, so you may need to set your preference on each.

We may update this policy as the site, our providers or the law change. The date at the top shows the most recent update.
