What you will do

• Annotate and label Arabic text, speech and multimodal data according to detailed project guidelines.
• Transcribe and verify Gulf dialect audio, including code-switched Arabic and English speech.
• Evaluate model outputs for linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, register and factual correctness.
• Write and correct reference responses in Arabic where a task requires it.
• Flag guideline ambiguity rather than guessing, because a wrong guess repeated across a thousand items poisons a dataset.
• Maintain inter-annotator agreement above the programme threshold.

What you bring

• Arabic at C2, with native or near native command of a Gulf dialect.
• Emirati, Saudi, Kuwaiti, Qatari, Bahraini and Omani dialect speakers are all in scope.
• English at B1 or above, sufficient to work with English project guidelines.
• Genuine care about linguistic precision.
• Reliable internet and a computer.
• The discipline to maintain quality on item nine hundred as carefully as on item nine.

Nice to have

• A degree in linguistics, translation, literature, journalism or a related field.
• Prior annotation, transcription, translation or editorial experience.
• Knowledge of a second Arabic dialect.
• Familiarity with annotation platforms.
